Frequently Asked Questions

TubeCookbook turns any YouTube cooking video — in any language — into a clean recipe in yours.

What is TubeCookbook?

Paste a YouTube cooking video link and the AI watches the video itself, organizing ingredients, amounts and steps into a clean recipe — in your language, whatever language the video is in (22 languages supported). You also get auto-scaled servings, a step-by-step cook mode with timers and voice, and a shopping checklist.

Does the AI really watch the video, not just read captions?

Yes — it analyzes the video itself, which is how it catches ingredients and amounts that never appear in the captions. If a video can't be accessed directly, we analyze from captions/description and tell you so in the result.

What are credits?

One AI analysis uses one credit — having the AI watch a video costs real money. Viewing saved recipes, cook mode, the shopping checklist and writing recipes by hand are all free.

How much can I use for free?

Sign-up includes 3 free analyses. Community recipes can be browsed without an account, and you can import up to 3 of them into your book for free.

What happens to my credit if an analysis fails?

It's refunded automatically — failed analyses never cost a credit.

Can I analyze long videos?

Videos up to 30 minutes use 1 credit; 30–70 minutes use 2 credits (we always ask first). Videos over 70 minutes can't be analyzed.

Which languages are supported?

22 languages, including English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian — regardless of the video's language.

How do payments work?

Payments are handled securely by Lemon Squeezy (cards & PayPal, worldwide). Credits are added automatically after checkout, and the checkout appears in your browser's language.

Where are my recipes stored?

In the cloud, tied to your Google account — they survive switching phones or devices.

How do I contact support?
