  • Lime1
  • Fish sauce1 tablespoon
  • Fermented fish sauce (Pla ra)1 tablespoon
  • Tamarind juice1 tablespoon
  • Sugar1 tablespoon
  • Stink beans1/4 cup

Directions

  1. Add red chilies and garlic cloves to a mortar.
  2. Pound the chilies and garlic until crushed.
  3. Add cherry tomatoes to the mortar.
  4. Add shredded green papaya to the mortar.
  5. Squeeze the juice from the lime into the mortar.
  6. Add fish sauce to the mortar.
  7. Add fermented fish sauce (Pla ra) to the mortar.
  8. Add tamarind juice to the mortar.
  9. Add sugar to the mortar.
  10. Add stink beans to the mortar.
  11. Pound and mix all ingredients thoroughly in the mortar until well combined.
  12. Taste the papaya salad to adjust seasoning.
  13. Serve the papaya salad.

Tips

  • When pounding, add a little papaya first to prevent ingredients from splashing out of the mortar.
