  • Tomatoes4 medium, chopped
  • Tomato paste250g
  • Red chilli flakesto taste
  • Black pepper powderto taste
  • Mixed herbsto taste (for meat sauce)
  • Saltto taste (for meat sauce)
  • Red chilli sauce250g
  • Water1 cup (for meat sauce)
  • Lasagna sheets2 kg
  • Saltto taste (for boiling lasagna)
  • Butter150g (for white sauce)
  • Refined flour250g
  • Milk1 liter
  • White pepperto taste
  • Mixed herbsto taste (for white sauce)
  • Butterto grease (for baking trays)
  • Cheese400g, grated
  • Mozzarella cheese500g, shredded
  • Mixed herbsto taste (for topping)

Directions

  1. Clean the minced boneless chicken by rinsing with water.
  2. Squeeze excess water from the minced chicken using a cloth.
  3. Light a fire and place a large wok over it.
  4. Add butter to the hot wok and melt it.
  5. Add chopped onions to the wok and sauté.
  6. Add chopped garlic to the wok and sauté.
  7. Add the squeezed chopped chicken to the wok and cook until browned.
  8. Add chopped tomatoes to the chicken mixture and mix well.
  9. Stir in tomato paste.
  10. Add red chilli flakes, black pepper powder, mixed herbs, and salt to taste.
  11. Pour in red chilli sauce and mix thoroughly.
  12. Add water to the meat sauce and let it simmer until thickened.
  13. Remove the meat sauce from the fire.
  14. Place a large pot over the fire and add water for boiling lasagna sheets.
  15. Add lasagna sheets to the boiling water.
  16. Add salt to the boiling water with lasagna sheets.
  17. Boil the lasagna sheets until tender, then drain them.
  18. Place a clean wok over the fire for the white sauce.
  19. Add butter to the hot wok and melt it.
  20. Add refined flour to the melted butter and stir to form a roux.
  21. Gradually add milk to the roux, stirring continuously to prevent lumps, until a smooth sauce forms.
  22. Season the white sauce with white pepper and mixed herbs.
  23. Remove the white sauce from the fire.
  24. Preheat a makeshift oven by placing a large pot with sand over the fire and covering it.
  25. Grease baking trays with butter.
  26. Spread a layer of white sauce at the bottom of each greased tray.
  27. Place boiled lasagna sheets over the white sauce layer.
  28. Spread a layer of meat sauce over the lasagna sheets.
  29. Grate cheese over the meat sauce.
  30. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the grated cheese.
  31. Add another layer of white sauce.
  32. Place another layer of lasagna sheets.
  33. Add another layer of meat sauce.
  34. Grate cheese over the meat sauce.
  35. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the grated cheese.
  36. Sprinkle mixed herbs on top of the mozzarella cheese.
  37. Place the prepared lasagna trays into the preheated makeshift oven.
  38. Cover the oven pot and place hot coals on top of the lid for even baking.
  39. Bake until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  40. Remove the baked lasagna from the oven.
  41. Cut the lasagna into portions and serve.
