Directions

  1. Defrost the frozen shrimp in the microwave.
  2. Mince the defrosted shrimp with a spatula.
  3. Add cornstarch, salt, and pepper to the minced shrimp and mix well.
  4. Spread the shrimp mixture evenly over the tortillas.
  5. Heat cooking oil in a frying pan and cook the tortillas shrimp-side down first.
  6. Once the shrimp adheres well to the tortilla, flip it over.
  7. Place your desired amount of cheese on top of the cooked shrimp and melt it.
  8. Once the cheese is melted, fold the tortilla in half.
  9. Finely chop the tomatoes, onion, and Cheongyang chili pepper to make salsa.
  10. Mix yogurt and ketchup to make the sauce.
  11. Top the finished shrimp tacos with the chopped salsa.
  12. Finally, drizzle with the yogurt sauce.

Tips

  • Chopping the shrimp with a spatula gives it a satisfying bite and helps it achieve a sticky consistency.
  • Cooking the shrimp-side down first helps it adhere well to the tortilla.
  • If you enjoy a spicy kick, finely chop tomatoes, onion, and Cheongyang chili pepper to make salsa and serve it on the side.
  • The yogurt sauce is also delicious for dipping.
