Made kimbap for the first time, a bit of a fail but I'm happy!

Guys, I tried making kimbap myself yesterday?? Used beef sausage 'cause I was looking for halal options. The rice got too soft when rolled, it was super hard to cut. It tasted pretty good though, just the shape wasn't as neat as in those videos. Anyone got tips so kimbap rice isn't too soft? Btw, traffic was super bad coming home from work earlier so I ended up cooking really late hehe.
