👨‍🍳 오늘도이제이쿡

This recipe is for preparing 10 servings of Spam Gimbap and Seafood Ramyeon for my husband's factory meal. Enjoy a hearty meal with gimbap featuring savory Spam, sweet stir-fried kimchi, soft egg omelet strips, and fragrant perilla leaves, along with generous seafood ramyeon.

Directions

  1. Rinse the rice thoroughly.
  2. Add salt and olive oil to the rinsed rice and cook it in a pressure cooker.
  3. Crack several eggs into a bowl, add fish sauce, and whisk well.
  4. Blanch the Spam once in boiling water.
  5. Rinse the napa cabbage kimchi once with water and squeeze out the excess moisture.
  6. Heat a pan over low heat, pour in the egg mixture, and cook a thick egg omelet.
  7. Slice the cooked egg omelet into long strips.
  8. Pan-fry the blanched Spam until golden brown.
  9. Heat olive oil in a pan, stir-fry the rinsed kimchi, then add allulose liquid and teriyaki soy sauce, and simmer until sweet and caramelized.
  10. Once the pressure cooker starts making a sound, open the lid, stir once, and then simmer over low heat for 15 minutes to finish cooking the rice.
  11. Add sesame seeds and toasted sesame oil to the cooked rice and mix well.
  12. Place a sheet of gim on a bamboo mat, spread a thin layer of rice, then add perilla leaves, Spam, egg omelet strips, and stir-fried kimchi, and roll tightly.
  13. Slice the rolled gimbap into bite-sized pieces.
  14. Add ramyeon, assorted seafood, green onion, and minced garlic to boiling ramyeon broth and cook to complete the seafood ramyeon.

Tips

  • Seasoning the rice with salt beforehand when cooking makes it much more delicious and easier to prepare gimbap rice.
  • It's good to blanch the Spam for gimbap once beforehand.
  • Since Spam itself is flavorful, Spam gimbap doesn't require many ingredients.
